ANALOGUE VIDEO CABLE

It is a cable that carries video signals as variable electrical voltages, not in the form of digital data. These signals can represent information such as brightness, color, synchronization, etc.

Common types of analog video signals

  1. Composite Video (CVBS): Everything (image, color, and sync) is transmitted through a single cable. Typical connector: RCA (yellow) or BNC.

  2. Component Video (YUV or YPbPr): The color components (Y, Pb, Pr) are separated. Uses 3 RCA cables (red, green, and blue) or BNC.

  3. S-Video (separated): Divides into two signals: luminance (Y) and chrominance (C). Connector: 4-pin mini-DIN.

  4. Analog RGB: Each component (Red, Green, Blue) travels through its own cable. Used in VGA monitors, SCART, etc.
